Richmond Park FC from England - B14
Tell us briefly the history of your club/team?
Richmond Park FC was formed in 2014 by a group of parents keen to run their own football club. We are based in the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames and our players are drawn from the area around Richmond Park- the most beautiful of London's royal parks. Our logo features a stag's head, symbolic of the park where deer have roamed freely since the reign of King Henry VIII in 1529.
Is it your first time at the Dana Cup if not how many times has your club participated?
This is the first time we, as a club, have participated at Dana Cup but one of our players took part in 2012 and spoke very highly of the fantastic organisation and the wonderful weather! Last year we played in Aalborg City Cup but this year we wanted to go for "the big one".
What are your goals and expectations for the Dana Cup 2015?
Although we want to play well and progress in the tournament and to be acknowledged for our sportsmanship, the main goal is to give the team an experience they'll never forget and meet football friends from around the world.
